It’s never simpler, never easier, but in the end, collaboration makes for stronger community responses to complex issues. Andrea has worked and lived in Edmonton for most of her life and has had the honour of working alongside many people and organizations to address complex issues like human trafficking and poverty.
After 6 challenging and rewarding years co-founding and leading the Action Coalition on Human Trafficking (ACT Alberta), Andrea joined EndPovertyEdmonton as the inaugural Executive Director in 2017. With strong partners and an emboldened and awakened community, anything is possible – even ending poverty.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Anthropology) from the University of Alberta and is taking the slowest boat possible to a Master of Public Health degree from the same university. She’s hoping to graduate sometime before she retires.
