Denise Buchner

Credentialed Evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society.

Denise Buchner has over 15 years’ experience providing research, monitoring and evaluation services for international organizations, government agencies, and non-governmental, private and community-based organizations.

She has extensive experience with training and facilitation along with experience in utilizing OECD-DAC criteria for evaluation, Results Based Management (RBM), the development and use of qualitative and qualitative tools for data collection. Denise has worked in Eastern and Southern Africa, South-East Asia, Asia, and the Middle East and performed evaluations of programs funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Grand Challenges Canada. Her areas of expertise include Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Health Systems Strengthening, and Integrated Community Case Management of Childhood Diseases (iCCM) with extensive experience in the collection of data related to breastfeeding and nutrition, micronutrient supplementation, and reproductive health. Denise is accustomed integrating cross-cutting themes such as gender equality, environment, and governance into evaluation plans. Denise is a Credentialed Evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society.
